Transformable Dining System

After gaining an understanding of the balcony context in Palestine and conducting interviews with target users, the project introduces a versatile, transformable table. The design adapts to the user’s needs at different times and for various functions. The table can expand and contract as required, and its top surface doubles as a tray, making it easier to transfer plates between the kitchen and the balcony.

نبذة عني

Majida Khanfar is an architect and educator with a Master’s degree from the Glasgow School of Art with an extensive teaching experience at the Arab American University. Her work explores the intersection of interior architecture, identity, and human experience, bridging theory and practice to create meaningful spatial experiences.
