To modernize its operations, Universal Mattresses Co has developed advanced internal administrative and production systems. This ensures greater efficiency, streamlined processes, and alignment with contemporary production and management standards.
Workforce Expansion and Capacity Building
The company currently employs over 250 staff, with plans to increase this number to meet future growth needs. Staff development is emphasized through participation in international trade fairs and continuous training programs for both administrative and production teams, ensuring enhanced skills and expertise.
Foam Production Line Project (2018)
In 2018, Universal Mattresses Co launched a dedicated foam production line. This project completed the full production cycle for all product types and created additional employment opportunities within the company.
Product Range Expansion Project
The company has continually expanded its product portfolio to include diverse, high-quality items such as Zemberk, foam, pocket, and cut-foam mattresses, fully upholstered beds, medical pillows, and seat cushions. Advanced materials like smart foam (Visco), flexible foam (Latex), pocket springs, and specialized fabrics resistant to mold, fire, and moisture are used to meet different customer preferences.
Youth & Student Training Program
To support young talent and provide practical work experience, Universal Mattresses Co partners with Al-Quds University’s dual studies program. This initiative allows students to gain hands-on experience within the company and is supported by the German government. The company has been formally recognized in official ceremonies for this contribution.
Special Needs Employment Program
As part of its social responsibility, the company actively employs people with disabilities in collaboration with the Palestinian National Alliance. This initiative promotes inclusion and integration into the workforce and has earned official recognition and honors for the company.
Labor Compliance & Workplace Standards Project
Universal Mattresses Co adheres strictly to Palestinian Labor Law No. 7 (2000), as well as international labor agreements and workplace safety standards. This commitment ensures an ethical, legal, and safe work environment for all staff.
Employee Transportation & Meal Program
The company ensures the welfare of its employees by providing daily transportation to and from the factory and offering a daily meal in a spacious, high-standard dining hall. This program enhances staff convenience, satisfaction, and productivity.

Eco-friendly Factory Project Universal Mattresses Co has developed an eco-friendly manufacturing system to minimize industrial waste and ensure product safety. Most raw materials are recycled and reused, reducing environmental impact. This initiative has been formalized with the implementation of an environmental management system, earning the company ISO 14001 certification.
