Hike Up Program: Wrapping Up Pre-Incubation and Gearing Up for the Final Pitch

After a successful completion of the first phase, which included receiving applications, conducting awareness workshops on the program’s objectives, and hosting an exciting hackathon for the participating ideas. The Hike Up Program continues to gain momentum, advancing its mission to empower Palestinian tourism along the Heritage Trail. December witnessed a flurry of activity as 45 standout projects, selected through a rigorous process, embarked on intensive training sessions aimed at transforming their innovative concepts into impactful solutions.

Participants have been engaging in dynamic workshops covering key areas such as marketing, financial management, and presentation skills. With expert mentorship and collaborative efforts, these aspiring innovators are well on their way to creating sustainable solutions that will enhance the Heritage Trail experience and boost local tourism.

With the pre-incubation program successfully completed, the participants now move into one-on-one mentorship sessions designed to refine their pitching skills. This next phase ensures they are fully prepared for the Pitching Day, scheduled for January. On this highly anticipated day, 20 outstanding ideas will be selected to receive $5,000 in funding, propelling them closer to bringing their transformative projects to life.

Hike-Up program is part of the project Increasing Economic Opportunities and Improving Livelihoods for Communities along with the Heritage Trail of Palestine, implemented by the Heritage Trail Union, funded by the Japanese Social Development Fund in collaboration with the World Bank.
