After a successful completion of the first phase, which included receiving applications, conducting awareness workshops on the program’s objectives, and hosting an exciting hackathon for the participating ideas, Palestine Techno Park is proud to announce the official launch of the second phase of the Hike-Up Incubation Program—the training phase. Starting tomorrow, 45 selected ideas will begin a comprehensive training journey designed to refine and develop innovative solutions that will contribute to the Palestine Heritage Trail.
Out of 80 submissions, 45 standout ideas have been selected for training, each demonstrating exceptional potential. These ideas will undergo development to enhance their impact, with a focus on creating sustainable and culturally relevant solutions for the heritage tourism sector. By the end of this phase, the top 20 ideas will be selected and each will receive a $5,000 grant to bring their vision to life.
The Hike-Up Program is part of the "Increasing Economic Opportunities and Improving Livelihoods for Communities along the Palestine Heritage Trail" project, implemented by the Heritage Trail Union, and funded by the Japanese Social Development Fund in collaboration with the World Bank. This initiative aims to drive economic growth, enhance livelihoods, and promote cultural heritage preservation within the communities along the trail.
We extend our best wishes to all the teams participating in this exciting phase of the Hike-Up Program. We look forward to seeing the innovative ideas that will emerge and make a lasting contribution to the development of Palestinian tourism and the preservation of our rich heritage. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support and nurture these visionary projects!
