Urban Up Demo Day Concludes: Four Startups Win Seed Funding for Municipal Innovation

Palestine TechnoPark has concluded the Demo Day of Urban Up – Municipal Innovation Incubator, where fourteen startups presented the solutions they developed for challenges facing Palestinian municipalities. Four were selected by the judging panel to receive seed funding.

Urban Up is delivered in partnership with the INDIGO project, implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The programme pairs early-stage teams with municipalities so that the problems they work on come from the people who will use the result.

The four startups selected for seed funding

  • Baldiyati — Al-Eizariya Municipality, represented by Amin Talahmeh
  • SignBridge — Birzeit Municipality, represented by Ayham Bader
  • CityPlus — Dura Municipality, represented by Mohammd AbuSharar
  • Nadheef — Nablus Municipality, represented by Ibrahim Abu Zahra

Palestine TechnoPark thanked the members of the judging panel for their time and assessment, and the four participating municipalities — Al-Eizariya, Birzeit, Dura and Nablus — for opening their services to the teams and working alongside them through the incubation.
