Palestine Technopark is dedicated to advancing innovation and commercialization by supporting the research community in translating discoveries into market-ready technologies. Our goal is to maximize the societal and economic impact of Palestinian research and help establish the country as a hub for science and technology in the region.
The Research Support Office provides a one-stop gateway for partners seeking expertise, infrastructure and linkages to scale their work. We offer executive guidance, technical project management, and administrative assistance to onsite R&D units. Through our programs and facilities, partners gain access to mentorship from industry veterans, networking events, and a collaborative community of scientists and entrepreneurs.
To achieve our mission, we focus on:
- Facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships between academia, industry and investors through forums, workshops and networking platforms
- Identifying commercially promising research through a stringent evaluation process and advising on go-to-market strategies
- Running accelerator programs to help translate ideas into minimally viable products and seed-funded startups
- Attracting high-impact local and foreign investment in ventures with innovative solutions and scalable business models
- Monitoring performance indicators and societal reach of commercialized research
Palestinian research has considerably strengthened in quality, rigour and impact in recent years. By supporting applied R&D and enterprises around ideas with market-fit, we help transition groundbreaking scientific work into tangible benefit for communities and job opportunities.
We consider spinouts a key path for realizing economic returns on national R&D spending. Our programs actively promote and mentor spinouts from partner institutions with commercially oriented research. The goal is to maximize innovation through new ventures tackling important issues.
To provide an ecosystem for ideas to thrive, we operate state-of-the-art labs, testing facilities and fabrication centers. This includes a 5G testing arena, IoT experimentation zones, biotechnology labs and more. Strong industry linkages also foster collaborative applied research and product development.
