Palestine TechnoPark has successfully concluded the 8th webinar of its flagship Brain Gain program, titled "How to Program for Scale with AI Tools." The session featured distinguished Palestinian software engineer Eng. Ribhi El-Zaru, who shared practical insights into the opportunities and risks of using AI tools in scalable software development.
In this thought-provoking session, Eng. El-Zaru explored what AI really means for developers today. He broke down how AI tools can assist in coding—but also highlighted why over-reliance on these tools can be risky. Participants learned why “free code” from AI isn’t always reliable, the common mistakes programmers make when using AI, and why human logic and planning remain essential in software development.
Drawing on real-world experience from his work in startups and fintech companies, Ribhi offered smart, practical ways to use AI safely and effectively to build software systems that are both high-quality and scalable. From debunking the myth of “vibe coding” to outlining when AI adds value versus when it becomes a liability, the session provided both technical depth and actionable guidance.
Brain Gain is a pioneering initiative by Palestine TechnoPark, part of the Palestine Diaspora Technology Network, aimed at leveraging the expertise of Palestinian professionals abroad to strengthen the local tech sector.
