As part of the Urban Up – Municipal Innovation Incubator, Palestine TechnoPark delivered a specialized Design Thinking training program in collaboration with the municipalities of Nablus, Dura, Al-Eizariya, and Birzeit, aimed at translating partnerships into practical, solution-driven initiatives.
Conducted over three days, the training focused on applying a human-centered approach to better understand real municipal challenges and identify priority areas for intervention. Participants worked on analyzing key issues and laying the foundation for developing innovative, technology-driven solutions.
The sessions addressed a range of critical challenges facing municipalities, including administrative processes, service delivery, human resources systems, water and waste management, traffic and parking, citizen engagement, data management, public asset utilization, and sustainable financing.
The outcomes of the training will guide the next phase of the program, which involves collaboration with entrepreneurs and innovators to design, prototype, and implement practical solutions tailored to local needs.
The initiative is implemented in partnership with INDIGO and supported by GIZ, contributing to the advancement of smarter, more efficient, and innovation-driven municipalities in Palestine.
