GreenLoop: Advancing Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation in Palestine

The Green Loop Initiative is a forward-looking program designed to promote sustainable development and accelerate the transition toward a green and circular economy in Palestine. Implemented through Palestine TechnoPark, in collaboration with national and international partners, the initiative focuses on empowering entrepreneurs—particularly youth and women—to develop innovative solutions that address environmental challenges while creating economic opportunities.

At its core, Green Loop aims to support the development of startups and projects working in key areas such as sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, waste management, ecotourism, water conservation, and circular economy models. The program provides a comprehensive support framework that includes ideation, incubation, mentorship, technical training, and access to funding opportunities, enabling participants to transform innovative concepts into viable and scalable ventures.

A key component of the initiative is the organization of innovation-driven activities such as the GreenLoop Hackathon, which serves as a platform to identify and nurture high-potential ideas. Selected projects are further supported through structured programs that include business development, market access, and field validation to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.

The Green Loop Initiative is part of the broader “Innovative Women and Youth Entrepreneurship Hub for Green Investment and Circular Economy in Palestine”, led by the Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) and funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, in partnership with Palestine TechnoPark and the Bethlehem Business Incubator (BBI).

Through this initiative, Palestine TechnoPark contributes to building a more resilient and sustainable economy by fostering innovation, supporting environmentally responsible entrepreneurship, and creating new pathways for inclusive growth across Palestinian communities.
